FuelWatch: Top up before Perth petrol price rise 16 February
The average price of ULP is set to increase by over 33 cents per litre (cpl) to 150.2 cpl tomorrow, so FuelWatch is encouraging Perth drivers, if they can, to fill up today to save money.
FuelWatch advises that on Wednesday 17 February 2021, most branded retailers are hiking their ULP price: 7-Eleven, Caltex/Ampol, Caltex Woolworths and Coles Express hiking by up to 44 cpl to 159.9 cpl; Puma to 159.7 cpl; BP to 158.9 cpl; and Vibe to 149.7 cpl.
Perth’s weekly petrol price cycle results in prices, on average, being cheapest on Monday and Tuesday and at their most expensive on Wednesday and Thursday – that’s why FuelWatch recommends filling up today.

Pressure is mounting on state and federal governments to relinquish hotel quarantine to dedicated regional hubs, with two Australian billionaire businessmen leading the charge.
Weeks after John Wagner was approached by the Queensland government, a bold new plan to house returning travellers has emerged out of Melbourne s second international airport, owned by Lindsay Fox s company Linfox.
If the proposals are successful, at least 2000 Australians could be housed at hubs based at Avalon Airport, 50 minutes southwest of Melbourne, and at Wellcamp Airport in Toowoomba, 90 minutes from Brisbane.

The airport being constructed at Sogane on the outskirts of Shivamogga city will be operational within a year, said Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Tuesday. He spoke to presspersons after inspecting the work along with elected representatives and senior officers.
The airport is coming up with an investment of ₹ 384 crore. The construction of the runway and compound wall was on. In the second phase, terminal buildings would be constructed. “I have instructed the officers to take up all works simultaneously and finish it at the earliest”, the Chief Minister said.
